We are committed to providing an environment where all students feel welcome, safe, and able to learn. See the information and categories below to find out more about how we work to provide this environment.

All-Gender Restrooms

UW-Eau Claire has made a concerted effort to increase the number of all-gender restrooms and currently offers 109 single-stall options in various locations (with more to come!).

Campus Preferred-Name Policy

Once enrolled, students have the option of changing their name to reflect their identity. This process can be initiated by the student as many times as is necessary. Blugold IDs are digital, compatible with cell phones, and free of charge. Digital IDs are not voter compliant. If students need proof of residency, the Blugold Card Services office will print a physical voter ID card free of charge. This voter ID can only be used to vote and cannot be used for any other purpose. Click here to begin the eform process and to find out which specific areas on campus your preferred name will appear.

Legally Change Name and/or Gender

There is a specific process to follow when changing one’s legal name and/or gender, and it varies by state. This link provides step-by-step instructions for the state of Wisconsin

Rainbow Floors Inclusive Housing

Rainbow Floors

The Rainbow Floors are communities within 澳门葡京网赌送彩金 Housing that allows students to share rooms regardless of their roommates' assigned sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation. This means that students can live with whomever they choose. There are a number of reasons students choose to live on the Rainbow Floors, and while those reasons vary, students' experiences on the floors are consistently outstanding.

The Rainbow Floors include programming and community building that focus on the diverse array of identities within the LGBTQIA+ spectrum. In Karlgaard Towers, each of the ten floors features all gender restrooms, and staff are on hand to ensure your home away from home is as welcoming and supportive as possible. On the Rainbow Floors, all single- and multi-stall restrooms function as accessible, all gender spaces (including restrooms and showers); there is also an accessible private option for those desiring a bit more privacy.

The Rainbow Floors social spaces are second to none, featuring vibrant, cozy lounge and study options. Additionally, students are surrounded by graphic design elements featuring intersectional, historical queer icons. Did we mention the chalk wall? The student-created hallway graffiti? There's so much to see!
