We in the Gender & Sexuality Resource Center love collaborating with students! Luckily, there are many ways students are able to get involved with the office:

Internships

The GSRC offers paid student internships (including work study) throughout the academic year and summer. As an intern, you can expect to play an integral role in program/event creation and facilitation, student outreach, on- and off-campus networking, and social justice advocacy. Internships are competitive: passion for student advocacy and a collaborative spirit are required (as well as being a second year student or higher)! For more information, contact the GSRC director Kallie Friede (friedeka@dos5.net).

Academic Credit

We work with students across all areas of study. We offer between 1-3 credits of independent/directed study, as stipulated by your home department. No area of study is off limits. For more information, contact the GSRC director Kallie Friede (friedeka@dos5.net).

Service-Learning

Students often ask us if we offer Service-Learning opportunities. We absolutely do! There are a handful of events throughout the academic year that require volunteers, and your involvement may be able to satisfy that graduation requirement. To learn more, please contact the office at gsrc@dos5.net and put SERVICE-LEARNING in the subject heading or click the button below to explore the Service Learning website.
