POSITION: A probationary tenure-track faculty position at the rank of assistant professor is available in the Department of Information Systems in the College of Business.  The department seeks a dynamic candidate with expertise in systems analysis and design, data analytics, and programming who is committed to teaching excellence and maintaining an active program involving undergraduates.  This appointment carries an initial two-year probationary appointment beginning with the 2025/2026 academic year, August 18, 2025.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Earned doctorate in the area of Information Systems or related discipline by August 18, 2025.  (ABD applicants may be considered but must complete the terminal degree by June 30, 2026.) DUTIES: Teach information systems courses in the Department of Business Communication and Information Systems based on program needs and in accordance with specialization; participate in research and scholarly activities; develop and/or maintain a scholarly research agenda; provide academic advising to students as assigned; engage in service to the department, university, and profession and participate in department, college, and university committee work.

DEPARTMENT: The Department of Business Communication and Information Systems consists of 12 staff members and offers majors, minors, and certificates in business communication or information systems. The information systems unit consists of 6 full-time faculty [and is housed in the AACSB-accredited College of Business. The information systems program supports popular major, minor, and certificate programs in information systems and business analytics as well as support for the College of Business core curriculum. All students in the College of Business take an information systems course as part of their degree.
